Apple Cottage
Apple Cottage is in Lympsham, just off the A370 between Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea. It's an upside-down house, so the living room is upstairs. That's where you get the view, out over the fields towards the village.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms downstairs, a double and a room with bunk beds. There's a bathroom and a separate downstairs cloakroom. The kitchen and dining area are on the ground floor too, with a couple of chairs to sit in.
Outside, there's a small enclosed garden at the back. It's private. Parking is on site.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. We accept up to two dogs.
The village is about half a mile away. There's a shop for basics and a pavilion with a bar that does meals. You can sit outside there in summer and watch the cricket. The village sports club has tennis courts you can book.
For the coast, Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea are about 15 minutes by car. There are plenty of pubs and places to eat within five miles.
If you want to explore, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are within half an hour. For a longer day out, Exmoor National Park is about 40 minutes north. Useful links for planning: Exmoor National Park and National Trust Somerset.
