Honey Acre Cottage
Honey Acre Cottage is one of four cottages on our farm in Winscombe. The farm is working, so you'll see animals. It's very quiet here, in the Mendip Hills valley.
The cottage is for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and clean. It's not a posh hotel.
You have your own patio and garden area to sit out. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. We've got a games room in one of the other barns that all guests can use, with a pool table and table tennis.
The location is good for walking straight from the door. You're in the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cheddar Gorge is about a ten-minute drive. Wells is about twenty minutes away. The city of Bath is around forty minutes if you want a day out there.
The nearest village with a shop and a pub is about two miles away. Weston-super-Mare and the coast is about seven miles.
For things to do, Blagdon Lake is nearby for fishing and birdwatching. There's a dry ski slope and sports centre at Churchill, which is four miles away. Bristol Airport is fifteen minutes by car, so you might hear some planes, but it's not constant.
We provide bedding. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. There is parking right by the cottage. Sorry, no pets.
