Barleycombe is in Christon. It's a Victorian hunting lodge, detached and on its own land. It's at the top of a long private driveway. You get the views across the Mendip Hills.
It sleeps ten people in five bedrooms. Two bedrooms have en-suites, and there are four bathrooms in total. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's a big, comfortable house, not just a cottage. The stairs are fine, but it's on three floors, including a tower suite.
Downstairs, there's a kitchen, a utility room, and a dining room. There's also a living room and a separate games room with a TV and speakers. If it's quiet you want, there's a library room with books. There are two loos on the ground floor.
The garden is over three acres. There's an enclosed courtyard, a level lawn, and some private woodland. It's all yours. You can have a barbecue.
For things to do, you're on the edge of the Mendip Hills. There are footpaths from the property. Cheddar Gorge is about twenty minutes away by car. Blagdon Lake is close if you're into fishing. Wells and Bath are both within half an hour's drive. The beach at Weston-super-Mare is about five miles.
Facilities: everything's included. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels. Plenty of parking on site. No pets, sorry.
