Marram Dune is a beach house in Brean. It’s detached, right on the shoreline. That gate at the bottom of the garden opens straight onto the sand. You get the sea views.
It sleeps seven in four bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s a modern place. The open plan living area has those bi-fold doors that look down the garden to the water. There’s a lawn and a deck with furniture. We get one well-behaved pet.
Inside, it’s all on one level. The kitchen is large and has a dishwasher. There’s a separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi is there.
The beach is a five-mile stretch you can walk. It’s dog friendly. You can walk north towards Burnham-on-Sea. Brean itself has a theme park and a waterpark a short walk away from the house. There are a few places to eat and drink locally.
Brean Down is a headland you can walk to. It’s managed by the National Trust. The views are good. You can see Glastonbury Tor on a clear day.
Within about half an hour’s drive, you’ve got Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare for a traditional seaside day. Wells has the cathedral and some shops. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole caves are in that direction too.
Facilities are all there: parking, BBQ, TV, WiFi. It’s a straightforward place for being by the sea.
