The Dairy
The Dairy is a converted farm building on our place. It's one of four cottages here, so it's not isolated. You'll see the other guests sometimes. They're all separate though, you've got your own walls and front door.
It sleeps five in two bedrooms, and has two bathrooms. One's en-suite. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable, not a show home.
The main thing inside is the wood burner. It's double-sided, so it sits between the kitchen and the living room. It heats the whole ground floor nicely. There's also a separate games room with a console.
Outside, you have your own walled garden area with a table. There's a hot tub for that cottage. It's cleaned between every guest, so it might not be fully hot when you arrive on the first night. That's just how it works. There's also a tennis court on the farm that all the cottages share.
Because the cottages are grouped around the old farmyard, the gardens aren't totally private from each other. You can see into other gardens a bit.
The farm is in West Pennard, a small village. The local pub is about half a mile walk. The nearest shop is in Glastonbury, about two and a half miles away.
Glastonbury is ten minutes by car. You can walk up the Tor or see the Abbey ruins. Wells is about fifteen minutes drive, the Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace are there. Wookey Hole is nearby too. Bath is further, maybe 45 minutes, but it's a straightforward drive. The coast at Burnham-on-Sea or Brean is about half an hour.
There are footpaths straight from the farm gate if you want a walk.
Facilities are all there: wifi, parking, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
