Moorlands Chilcompton

Moorlands is in Chilcompton. It's a detached house, sleeps eleven.

It's got five bedrooms and three bathrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor with its own shower room. The other four are upstairs. One of those has a bunk bed, a double with a single on top. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been done to a high standard. It was fully refurbished in 2022.

The main room downstairs is open plan. Kitchen, dining, living area. The kitchen has a boiling water tap and a wine fridge. There's a utility room with a washing machine and dryer. You can hire a hot tub if you want to, you'd need to sort that with me in advance.

The garden is big, mainly lawn. There are a couple of seating areas and a BBQ. There's a vegetable patch you're welcome to use if things are growing. A stream runs around the edge. The garden is enclosed, but kids and dogs need watching near the water. There's an outdoor dog wash.

The stairs are open and go up from the main living area to a gallery landing.

There's a pub about a five minute walk away. It serves food.

You're well placed for getting out. Bath is about a 25 minute drive. It's good for history, shopping, and the Roman Baths. Wells is closer, maybe 15 minutes. The cathedral is lovely. Glastonbury Tor is about 20 minutes away, the walk up is worth it for the view.

For family trips, Wookey Hole Caves are nearby. Cheddar Gorge is about a 25 minute drive. The National Trust has a lot of information about walking there. Clarks Village in Street is an outlet shopping place.

Facilities: parking on the drive, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, all bedding and towels included. You can bring up to two dogs.
