1 Luckington Stables is a bungalow conversion on our property here near Newbury. It was the old stables. We did it up a few years ago. The main thing is it's all on one level, so it's wheelchair friendly. There's a walk-in shower with grab rails.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and modern, and because it's a bungalow the ceilings are a bit higher than in a cottage, which feels a bit more spacious.
You've got your own garden bit with a patio. It looks out over fields. It's very quiet. You can park right outside.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. We include all the bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
You can bring up to three dogs. There's plenty of space for them to run around outside.
The local shop and a pub that does food are about a mile and a half away. For a bigger shop, you'd head into Frome.
You're in a good spot here for getting to things. Bath is about half an hour's drive. Wells and Glastonbury are a bit closer. Longleat is maybe 25 minutes. Cheddar Gorge is about 40 minutes. The coast at Burnham-on-Sea or Weston-super-Mare is around an hour.
If you're walking, the National Trust has a lot of local places like Stourhead. For general planning, Visit Somerset is useful.
