Dippers Folly is in Frome, about a mile and a half from the town centre. It's one of a pair of cottages converted from an old workshop. You have your own bit, obviously, and a riverside sitting area out the front. The river is right there, with a weir and mill sluice.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. One is en-suite. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. Oak doors, underfloor heating on the ground floor, that sort of thing.
You get the view over the river. We see a lot of birds. Herons, dippers, sometimes a kingfisher. You might see fish jumping or an otter if you're quiet and lucky.
Frome itself is good for a wander. Cobbled streets, little streams running down, independent shops and cafes. There's a big monthly market. The local pub is about a twenty minute walk back along the road.
You're well placed for getting out. Longleat and its safari park are about half an hour's drive. Wells Cathedral and the Bishops Palace are maybe 40 minutes. Glastonbury Tor is visible from miles away and is 20 minutes by car. Bath is half an hour. Stonehenge is just under an hour. Cheddar Gorge is about 45 minutes.
In terms of what's here: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
