Old Orchard Cottage
Old Orchard Cottage is an old terrace house in the village. It’s part of a row of cottages that were built in the 1840s. You’ve got the small back garden to yourselves. It’s quiet here most of the time.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There’s one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It’s got a 3 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and clean but not luxurious. There’s a woodburning stove in the front room which works well.
There’s a newsagent and a local pub about a five minute walk away. The pub does food. You’ll find more shops and supermarkets in Westbury, about two miles from the cottage.
You’re well placed for getting out and about. Stonehenge is a 20 minute drive. Bath is about half an hour away on a good run. Frome is roughly 15 minutes by car. Longleat Safari Park is also about half an hour. Within a 30 minute drive you can also get to Bradford on Avon and the edge of Salisbury Plain.
The facilities: there’s a washing machine, a TV, WiFi, and parking for one car on site. Bedding and towels are included. The cottage has some accessibility features like a ramped entrance to the front door and grab rails in the bathroom. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
