Sunrise Cottage
This is Sunrise Cottage. It's a bungalow on the edge of Berwick upon Tweed, in Tweedmouth. You look out over the River Tweed from the main bedroom and the living room. It's quiet here, but you can walk over the bridge into Berwick town centre in about ten minutes.
The place sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. Everything's on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem. There are grab rails in the bathroom and a seat in the shower.
It's got what you'd need: a washing machine, WiFi, Smart TVs with Netflix. The garden at the back is enclosed, so it's safe for dogs or kids. We allow up to two pets. Bedding and towels are included.
You're really well placed here. Spittal Beach is a short walk away for a proper beach day. The town walls in Berwick are interesting to walk around. The Northumberland Coast is stunning, all the way up to Bamburgh and Seahouses. Holy Island is about a half hour drive, but you must check the tide times for the causeway.
Further afield, Alnwick Castle and its gardens are under an hour's drive south. You can get a train from Berwick station straight into Edinburgh or Newcastle, which takes about 45 minutes.
