Rock House is in Wells, about a five minute walk from the Cathedral. It's a terraced townhouse, Grade II listed, so the walls are thick and the floors can be a bit uneven in places. It sleeps eight, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well equipped and finished to a good standard. It's on three floors. The stairs are standard for a house this age. There's a small step down into the accessible bedroom on the ground floor, just so you know.
The kitchen is a good size, with a dishwasher and washing machine. The living room is on the first floor. Outside there's a courtyard garden with a summer house. The summer house has a football table and darts board inside it.
You're right in town. There are shops, cafes, and pubs a couple of minutes' walk away. You don't really need the car once you're here. The Cathedral is the obvious thing to see. The Bishop's Palace and its gardens are just behind it.
For days out, Glastonbury and its Tor are about a 20 minute drive. Wookey Hole caves are about the same. Cheddar Gorge is maybe 25 minutes. Bath is a bit further, around 45 minutes by car if the traffic is okay.
In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, a highchair, and a stairgate if you need them. There's WiFi and a TV. The garden is enclosed. No pets, sorry.
