Chestnut Cottage is in Coxley Wick. It's a small hamlet just outside Wells. So it's quiet here, but you're only about two miles from the city centre. It's detached, surrounded by fields.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One with a king size bed, one with two singles. One bathroom upstairs, and a separate toilet downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It was all renovated last autumn, so everything's fresh and clean. It's open plan upstairs so it feels quite light. The living area's at the back with big windows looking over the garden.
The garden is yours to use. There's a patio with a table and chairs. You also get sole use of the big field next door. There's a picnic bench out there, good for a barbecue. The village playing field and a kids' swing park are a short walk away, down the footpath.
Wells is very close. You can walk in along the public footpaths, or drive it in five minutes. The Cathedral is the obvious thing to see. The Bishop's Palace and its gardens are worth a visit. The market's on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It's been used for filming a lot, like for Hot Fuzz.
Within about half an hour's drive, you've got quite a bit. Glastonbury Tor is one direction. Cheddar Gorge and the Mendip Hills are another. Bath and Bristol are a bit further but you can get to them within the half hour depending on traffic. Clarks Village in Street is about twenty minutes for shopping.
For facilities: it's all there. WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. On-site parking. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
