Ship Cottage
Ship Cottage is in Reedham, right on the River Yare. It's a detached thatched cottage. You get the whole place and the garden to yourselves, which runs down to the river bank.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well finished and comfortable. The main bedroom has a very large bed.
There are two pubs in the village, both about 35 yards away. They serve food. The local shop is a few minutes walk.
The main thing here is the view. You look straight out over the river and the marshes opposite. You see boats going by, birds, sometimes deer over the other side. The living space is open plan, with doors out to a sunroom and the garden.
It's ten miles to the coast if you want a beach day. Great Yarmouth is about seven miles. Norwich is 12 miles away for a city day out.
The Norfolk Broads are right here. You can hire day boats from several places nearby if you want to get on the water. For walkers, the Weavers' Way long distance path goes through the village.
Facilities: parking for one car on the drive, washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels are included. Up to three dogs are welcome.
