If you are looking for a cosy cottage for a quiet break away from it all then look no further than The Old Saddlery. Located on a rural farm with friendly animals and lovely local walks this really is a special place to stay and make memories. The accommodation is all on one floor and internally has been renovated with attractive, contemporary, and original features throughout. The property has an open plan living and dining area alongside a small but beautifully formed kitchen. The double bedroom also boasts an en-suite shower room. Outside, the property has a courtyard seating area an ideal place to relax with a morning coffee and plan the day’s adventures. There is also a small private garden to enjoy the evening sunset.
The farm is located in the heart of Derbyshire between the villages of Hulland Ward and Turnditch. The nearer village of Hulland Ward offers a pub, petrol station, convenience store, local farm shop, and coffee/flower shop. Turnditch is a delightful hillside village overlooking the Ecclesbourne Valley, with a gastro pub taking advantage of these views. The attractive, traditional market towns of Belper, Ashbourne, Wirksworth and Matlock are within easy reach, as are Alton Towers and the famous and historic houses of Kedleston and Chatsworth. Along with fishing on the River Derwent and golf nearby, this is a wonderful part of the Peaks, with plenty to do whatever the time of year.
