Shearwater Lake House is on one of the lakes in South Cerney, in the Cotswold Water Park. It's modern, built to look out over the water.
It sleeps ten. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. One bedroom and bathroom is on the ground floor, which is handy. The stairs inside are open-tread and a bit steep, so just be mindful of that if you've got little ones or anyone unsteady on their feet.
The main living space is all open plan. Big doors and windows mean you get the lake view from the sofa or the dining table. There's a gas fire for cooler evenings. Doors open straight out onto a deck with outdoor furniture and a BBQ.
The decor is quiet and calm. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, with things like a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi included. Bedding and towels are provided. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
You're right in the Water Park, so if you like walking, cycling, or watersports, it's all on the doorstep. For a day out, Cirencester is about ten minutes away by car. It's a proper Roman town with a museum and good shopping.
