Apartment 1
Apartment 1 is a one-bedroom flat that sleeps two. It’s part of the De Vere hotel complex in South Cerney, in the Cotswold Water Park. You get the apartment to yourselves, but you can use all the hotel facilities if you want to.
The apartment itself is clean and modern. Big windows, so you get a good view of the lakes. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well looked after. There’s a kitchen, a living area, and a patio.
Because it’s attached to the hotel, you have access to a lot. There’s an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a sauna, and a restaurant and bar on site. The reception is manned 24 hours, which is handy.
The location is the main thing. It’s right in the middle of the lakes. You can walk straight out into the Water Park. It’s good for birdwatching, walking, or watersports if that’s your thing. There’s a local pub about half a mile away.
For a bigger shop, you’d need to drive to Cirencester, which is about four miles. It’s a nice market town. From there, you can get to most of the Cotswold spots easily. Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water are within a 30 minute drive. Cheltenham, Gloucester and Bath are all less than an hour away.
