Ruddy Duck Lake House
This is Ruddy Duck Lake House in South Cerney. It's on one of the lakes in the Cotswold Water Park. The house is modern, one of a row right on the water. You get a private deck looking straight out over the lake.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms, one on each floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and everything works. The stairs are fine, normal stairs.
You can sit on the deck and watch the sun go down. The lake is active. It's an international water-ski course, so there are boats and skiers going past during the day in season. It's not a secluded wildlife lake. If you're into water sports, you can book things like paddleboarding nearby. For walking, there are paths around the other lakes.
It's a good spot for getting out. Cirencester is about ten minutes away by car. It's a proper market town, Roman history, nice shops. Swindon outlet shopping is maybe 25 minutes. For a day out, Cheltenham is about half an hour. You can drive into the Cotswolds quite easily from here.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Wifi, parking right outside, bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ on the deck. You can bring two dogs.
If you're coming with a bigger group, there are two other almost identical houses nearby called Coot and Goosander. You can book them together.
