Ruddy Duck Lake House

Ruddy Duck Lake House is a holiday home in South Cerney, in the Cotswolds Water Park area of Gloucestershire. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms. One's a shower room downstairs.

The place has a four-star rating, which means it's comfortable and modern rather than old and rustic. All the bedding and towels are included. The kitchen has everything you'd need to cook.

Its main feature is the lake. You have a private deck with French doors facing straight out onto the water. It's quiet. Directly outside your house is part of an international water-ski course, so you'll see boats and skiers going past, which is quite interesting to watch. The sunset view from the deck is genuinely good.

For facilities, it has WiFi, parking for one or two cars right by the house, a barbecue, and it's fine for families with kids. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.

If you're into water sports, you can hire kit nearby for sailing, kayaking or paddleboarding. There are walking paths around the lakes. For a proper day out, Cirencester is about ten minutes away by car. It has Roman ruins and a good high street. Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water are within half an hour, though they can get busy. Walking in the Cirencester Park estate is a good option if you want more space.

It's part of a small estate of similar houses. If you needed more space for a bigger group, you could book the nearby Coot Lake House or Goosander Lake House as they're all within a couple of hundred yards of each other.
