Nuthatch is in a small estate called Somerford Keynes, in the Cotswolds Water Park. The house is one of a group of new-builds set in a big, private nature reserve. It's gated and managed, which is good if you like things kept tidy.
The house sleeps ten people. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's very well finished and has all the mod cons. The garden is decked and looks straight out onto a lake. You'll see swans and coots out there.
Being on the estate gives you access to their spa and leisure facilities. There are indoor and outdoor heated pools, a gym, a sauna, and a tennis court. You can book treatments. The estate itself has miles of trails for walking or cycling around the lakes and woods.
Just outside the gate, you're in the wider Cotswolds Water Park. You can go sailing, fishing, or jet skiing on the lakes if that's your thing. It's a big area for wildlife, so it's good for a quiet walk too.
A local shop and a pub are about half a mile away. For a bigger town, Cirencester is about a 15 minute drive. It's got a good market and the usual shops. Cheltenham is about half an hour for more shopping or the races. Further out, you can get to Bath or Oxford in around an hour if you fancy a day trip.
Facilities in the house: it's got everything you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, woodburner, wifi, all bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if needed. You can bring up to two dogs. Plenty of parking on the drive.
