Moorhens Cottage
Moorhens Cottage is in Somerford Keynes, in the Cotswold Water Park. It's a detached stone cottage with a thatched roof, right on the edge of one of the lakes.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. We allow one dog.
The property is on Lower Mill Estate. That's an award-winning nature reserve. It's very quiet and peaceful, a conservation area. It's not suited for big groups or parties. There are five large lakes here, about 550 acres of parkland with walking paths. You'll see a lot of birdlife.
The cottage has things like a woodburning stove, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger.
On the estate, there's a heated outdoor pool you can use, a tennis court, and a play area for children. There's also an organic farm shop and a restaurant called Ballihoo.
The village of Somerford Keynes is about a five minute walk away. It has a pub that does food. You can get to Cirencester in under fifteen minutes by car for more shops. Slimbridge Wetland Centre is about twenty minutes away.
