Tanglin Farm - Wonky Donkey
This is Wonky Donkey at Tanglin Farm. It's a converted barn on the lane at Braydon Side, near Wootton Bassett and Malmesbury.
The barn sleeps up to five, but it's essentially one big room on the ground floor with a separate bedroom and bathroom upstairs. There's a proper double bed in the bedroom, a double sofa bed, and a z-bed in the living area. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. The kitchen has what you need.
Outside your door there's a seating area. The main thing is you're on a farm. You're welcome to walk around and see the animals. There are dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and a pig called Barney. They're friendly.
For a pint or some shopping, Royal Wootton Bassett is a few minutes drive. It's a market town with the usual pubs and shops. Malmesbury is about the same distance the other way. It's very old, has an abbey, and good independent shops. The National Trust has a few places nearby, like the Avebury stone circle.
The M4 junction is close, so you can get around. Stonehenge, the Cotswold Water Park, and Westonbirt Arboretum are all within half an hour.
In terms of what's here: all bedding and towels are included, there's parking right outside, and you have your own patio area. It's not a pet-friendly barn, sorry. If you're a bigger group, you can book the barn next door as well.
