The Augusta House
The Augusta House is on the Lower Mill Estate in Somerford Keynes. It's a modern, gated estate with lakes and woods. From the house you can see one of the lakes.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The layout is open plan downstairs.
Being on the estate, you have access to its facilities. There are indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, a sauna and a steam room. There's also a gym and a tennis court. You can book treatments, but you need to arrange that in advance.
The estate itself is 450 acres. You can walk or cycle on the trails. You can go boating or fishing on the lakes. There are bird hides. Walks around the main lagoon, Somerford Lagoon, are limited in the winter to protect the birds, but you can still use the hides.
The local shop and a pub are about a quarter of a mile away. For a bigger town, Cirencester is six miles. It's got the history and the shops. Other Cotswold places like Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford are all within a 30 minute drive.
In the house: there's a woodburning stove, a BBQ, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. WiFi and TV. Parking is on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
