Moorhen Lake House
Moorhen Lake House is in South Cerney, in the Cotswold Water Park. It's on a lake, right at the edge. You look straight out at the water.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, so it's finished to a high standard.
The main thing is the back of the house. It's nearly all glass doors that fold right back. So you can sit inside and look at the lake, or open it all up and you're basically outside. The deck has a hot tub and a table. The lake has boats and water-skiers sometimes, and birds like swans the rest of the time.
The bedrooms are upstairs. The main one has a view over the lake.
On the site, there's a brasserie right by the lake you can walk to, and a play area for kids.
It's a rural spot. The facilities are what you'd expect for the rating: towels and bedding, Wi-Fi, parking. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
You're about fifteen minutes from Cirencester. It's a nice Roman town with shops and a museum. Cheltenham is maybe half an hour for more shopping or the racecourse. For a day out, the Cotswolds area is all around you. The Cotswold Water Park site has info on all the lakes and activities nearby.
