Plovers Nest is a terraced house on the Lower Mill Estate in Somerford Keynes. It sleeps up to ten, but that's eight adults and two children really. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The main bit is an open plan living area on the first floor, with big windows looking straight out onto Clearwater Lake. There's a balcony there too. The stairs are fine, it's just a modern house.
The whole place is a 450-acre private nature reserve. It's gated. You're right on the lake, and some of the other lakes here you can use for kayaking or paddleboarding. You can hire that gear, and bikes, from the Activity Hub about ten minutes' walk away.
The ArtSpa is very close, maybe five minutes on foot. It has indoor and outdoor heated pools, a sauna, steam room, and a gym. You need to book treatments in advance.
On the estate there are tennis courts, football pitches, and play areas. Lots of paths for walking or cycling.
For facilities in the house: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if needed. Parking is right there.
There's a pub that does food about a mile away. Cirencester is the nearest proper town. For bigger days out, Cheltenham, Stow-on-the-Wold, or Bath are all within about 30 to 40 minutes' drive.
The Cotswold Water Park is right next door too, for things like water skiing, golf, or fishing.
