Poppy Shepherds Hut

Poppy Shepherds Hut is on our farm in Chelworth. It's one of three huts we built. It's a proper shepherd's hut, like an old Romani caravan, but fixed in place. It sleeps three, but really it's cosiest for two. There's one double bed and a single bunk above it.

The hut itself has a little kitchen area with a microwave, toaster, and kettle. There's a BBQ outside your door. You have your own picnic table and a fire pit.

The toilet and shower are in a separate block, shared with the other two huts. They're a short walk across the yard. It's clean and modern, but it's not en-suite. That's the "glamping" part of it. The shower is a proper walk-in one.

You're welcome to wander the farm. There are 63 acres. We have horses in the livery. You can arrange to go riding nearby, or there's fishing on a local lake. The kids' play area is shared.

It's very quiet here. The rating is 4 Star, which for a hut means it's well-equipped and comfortable for what it is.

You're about 20 minutes from Cirencester. It's a nice market town. For a big day out, Cirencester Park is good for walking. You're also not far from the Cotswolds proper. Tetbury and Malmesbury are within half an hour. Swindon is about 25 minutes away if you need a big shop or the train.

We include all bedding and towels. Electricity is included. You can bring one dog. There's parking right next to the hut.
