Cuckoos Nest

Cuckoo's Nest is in Somerford Keynes, on the Lower Mill Estate. It's a modern, terraced house right on the edge of Clearwater Lake. You look straight out over the water.

It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and everything's in good order. It's spread over three floors. The main living area is on the middle floor. It's open plan with big windows and a balcony facing the lake. The stairs are fine, they're just normal house stairs.

There are two terraces. One on the ground floor by the water, and the balcony upstairs. The wood burner works well for cooler evenings.

You're on a private estate with lakes and paths. You can walk around. They do watersports on some of the lakes, you can hire kayaks and paddleboards from the Activity Hub, which is about a ten minute walk away.

The ArtSpa is a short walk from the house. It has indoor and outdoor heated pools, a sauna, steam room, and a gym. You book treatments directly with them. There's also a restaurant on the estate.

Facilities in the house: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

For local walks and nature, the estate is part of the Cotswold Water Park. For wider days out, Cotswolds.com has good information. Cirencester is about a fifteen minute drive, it's a proper town with shops and a market. Kemble station is about twenty minutes away if you're arriving by train.
