The Mill Lodge
The Mill Lodge is in Bisley, Wiltshire. It's a detached house on the grounds of an old water mill, where we live in the main house. You'll see our flock of Cotswold sheep in the fields around.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom is downstairs. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's recently been done up.
The garden gets the sun most of the day, looking south over the fields. There's a patio and a lawn. The separate conservatory is just there if you need more space.
There's a private tennis court you can book for a three-hour slot each day. The outdoor swimming pool is heated. Guests can book a two-hour slot by text the night before.
A footpath goes right past the house, so you can walk straight out into the lanes. Malmesbury is about three miles away. It's a nice little town with shops, a couple of supermarkets, and a very old abbey. The local villages, Charlton and Lea, both have pubs and play areas for children.
You're well placed for days out. The National Trust at Cirencester Park is about a twenty minute drive. For trees, Westonbirt Arboretum is a bit further. Bath and the Cotswold Water Park are both within half an hour by car.
As for the house, it has the things you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Wood burner for the cooler evenings. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's parking on the drive.
