The Mill Lodge
The Mill Lodge is in Bisley, Wiltshire. It's on the edge of the Cotswolds. You turn off down a tree-lined drive to get to it. We live in the main house, the old mill, and the lodge is separate. It's detached, so it's just you.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom and a shower room are downstairs. The stairs are fine. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's been recently done up. It's clean and comfortable.
The garden is south-facing. There's a patio and a lawn that looks out over fields and some willow trees. You can see our sheep. There's a detached conservatory with more seating.
You can book the heated outdoor swimming pool for a two-hour slot each day. Same for the private tennis court. It's just for guests. There's a footpath that runs past the property if you want to go for a walk straight from the door.
Malmesbury is about three miles away. It's a nice market town with shops, pubs, and a supermarket. It's got a 12th-century abbey. The local villages, Charlton and Lea, have pubs and play parks.
For days out, Cirencester is about half an hour's drive. So is Westonbirt Arboretum. Bath is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. The Cotswold Water Park is nearby if you like watersports. For National Trust places, Lacock Abbey and Dyrham Park are within 30 minutes.
Facilities: Wood burner, WiFi, Smart TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. We allow one well-behaved dog. We've got a cot and highchair if you need them.
