The Granite Flat
The Granite Flat is in Dalbeattie, in Dumfries and Galloway. It's a ground floor flat in a granite building, it's one of three in the block. You get the flat to yourselves, and there's a shared garden out the back that you can use.
It sleeps two. One bedroom with a king size bed, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well done and comfortable. There's one step up from the street into the flat.
Dalbeattie's a small town. There's a co-op supermarket a few minutes walk away, and a couple of pubs that do food. The town's known for the granite, it was all quarried round here. Dalbeattie Forest is right on the edge of town, good for walking. The 7stanes mountain bike trails are there too, if that's your thing.
The Solway Coast is about a ten minute drive. You've got places like Kippford and Rockcliffe there, with beaches and coastal paths. It's good for a walk. Kirkcudbright is about twenty minutes away, it's an artists' town with galleries. Further on, you've got Galloway Forest Park, which is about half an hour's drive.
Facilities wise: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
