Woodend Farmhouse is on the edge of Haugh of Urr, in Dumfriesshire. It's a detached farmhouse, so you're on your own out here. The garden is big and enclosed. The views are over fields.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. We refurbished it in 2021, so it's in good order. The rooms are spacious. The kitchen is large. The dining room and sitting room both have big bay windows to look out of.
There's a pub in the village, about a ten minute walk. It does food. For shops, you'd drive to Castle Douglas, which is about fifteen minutes away.
If you're into mountain biking, the Dalbeattie 7Stanes trail is very close. Mabie Forest is nearby too. There are several golf courses within a short drive. The Solway Coast is about half an hour away, with beaches and villages like Kippford. You can visit Threave Garden, which is a National Trust for Scotland property.
The house has a woodburning stove, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for a few cars. No pets, sorry.
