Lime Tree Lodge
This is Lime Tree Lodge. It's a detached place we built ourselves, set in its own bit of ground. The view is over open countryside towards the Galloway Hills.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well finished and comfortable. Everything is on one level.
The main thing is the light. There are floor to ceiling windows and doors on one side, so it's very bright. They open onto a private, enclosed patio area with garden furniture.
You're about a five minute drive from Castle Douglas. It's a small market town with shops, cafes, and places to eat. There's a popular five-mile circular walk that goes from here into the town and back via country lanes.
For getting out, you're well placed. The Threave Garden & Estate is nearby. The Galloway Forest Park, which is a Dark Sky Park, is about a 30 minute drive. For mountain biking, the 7stanes tracks at Dalbeattie and Kirroughtree are within that range too. The Solway coast with its beaches is easily reachable.
In terms of what's here: there's parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
The property called The Byre is next to us on the same plot. You can book both together if you're a larger group.
