Silver Dee

Silver Dee is in Crossmichael. It's a detached bungalow right by Loch Ken. You get a garage attached to the house, which people seem to like for storing fishing tackle. There's a fridge and freezer in there just for bait.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom has a walk-in shower. The place has a 4 Star rating. It's all on one level, so no stairs to worry about. The front rooms look out over the loch.

There's a shop about 200 yards away. There's a pub and a restaurant 150 yards in the other direction. They're handy.

You can fish from the loch shore. They do boat hire and watersports from the outdoor centre on the loch. You'll see red kites around here most days.

For days out, Castle Douglas is two miles away. It's called Scotland's food town. Kirkcudbright is about eight miles. It's got art galleries and that. Good beaches are about a half hour drive, like at Sandyhills Bay.

The Seven Stanes mountain biking at Dalbeattie is nearby. The Galloway Forest Park is good for walking, and it's a Dark Sky Park if you're here on a clear night. There's a golf course three miles away.

Facilities: electric and utilities are included. There's a washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them, bedding and towels are included. WiFi works fine. Garden is enclosed. Parking on site. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
