Airdside Cottage
Airdside Cottage is on our farm near Crossmichael. It looks out towards the village and Loch Ken. The view is good, especially from the kitchen window.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not luxury. The hot tub is on the patio.
The farm is small. We're about a mile from Crossmichael, which has a shop and a pub that does food. Castle Douglas is five minutes by car. They've got good butchers and places to eat. It's known for food.
Loch Ken is right there. You can fish or swim. The Galloway Activity Centre is just along the road if you want to hire things. The area is good for walking and cycling. The Galloway Forest Park isn't far, and it's a Dark Sky Park. Kirroughtree and Dalbeattie have mountain bike trails if that's your thing.
The Solway Coast is about half an hour's drive. Some nice beaches there. Threave Garden is a National Trust site nearby.
In the cottage, there's a washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them, bedding is provided, and there's parking. You can bring up to two dogs.
