Marwhin Cottage Kirkpatrick Durham

Marwhin Cottage is on the Crofts Estate, which is about twelve miles east of Dumfries. It's detached and there's one other holiday cottage about twenty-five yards away, but you've got your own garden so it's private.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. Everything works.

The cottage has a woodburning stove. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The garden has a patio and a BBQ. You can bring two dogs. There's parking right outside.

The place is set back off the road on a private drive. There's a stream and a small pond in the garden. You get good views from here over the fields towards the Solway Firth.

You can walk straight from the door onto the estate tracks. For a proper day out, Threave Garden is about eight miles away. Dumfries has the shops, a theatre, and a few museums. Castle Douglas is a nice market town for food.

The Solway coast has some good beaches, about half an hour's drive. The Galloway Forest Park is great for walking and is also within a thirty minute drive.

There's a village shop and a pub about four miles away.
