Gardener's Cottage Corsock

Gardener's Cottage is on a 3000-acre estate near Corsock. It's a detached cottage, Victorian I think. There are a few other cottages on the estate but this one stands on its own.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs. The bathroom is downstairs, just off the living area.

The cottage has a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. There's a woodburning stove in the living room, which you'll probably want to use. The garden is shared with Stable Cottage next door, but it's not overlooked. There’s a small stream and a bridge over it. It’s a nice spot.

Because it’s on the estate, you can just walk straight out from the door. The Galloway Hills are right there. Driving-wise, Castle Douglas is about twenty minutes. It’s a good market town for food shopping. Dumfries is maybe half an hour.

The coast and some beaches down on the Solway Firth are within about thirty minutes.

For things to do, the Threave Gardens are close by. You’re also on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking right outside. You can bring one dog.
