Uplands is in Dalbeattie, on the edge of town. It's detached. It was all redone in 2020 so it's in good order inside.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, which helps with the morning. The main living area is open plan so everyone's together. There's a big wood burner. It heats the space well.
The garden has a patio and a BBQ. There's also a giant chess set out there. The stairs are a normal steepness.
You can walk into Dalbeattie centre in about ten minutes. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and some cafés. They're fine.
If you're into mountain biking, it's very good here. The Dalbeattie 7Stanes trail starts about a mile away. Forestry and Land Scotland have the trail details. Mabie Forest is about a fifteen minute drive for more trails.
For walks, you've got the forest trails right here or the Solway Coast is close. Rockcliffe and Kippford are nice for a wander by the water. Threave Garden is about twenty minutes by car. The National Trust for Scotland looks after it.
Facilities: there's parking for two cars on the drive, an electric vehicle charger, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
