Burnbank
This is Burnbank in Kirkgunzeon. It's a semi-detached cottage. The back garden goes down to a wee burn. You can hear the water.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got that 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but it's not brand new. The stairs are open and steep. You need to be careful on them.
The village is quiet. There's a shop and a pub about four miles away in Dalbeattie. The beach at Sandyhills is about seven miles.
It's good here if you like being outdoors. Mountain biking is big. The Dalbeattie 7stanes trail is right nearby, and so is Mabie Forest. There's a bike store at the cottage. For walkers, the Solway Coast is on the doorstep. You've got sailing and fishing not far away either.
If you want a day out, Kirkcudbright is the artists' town with lots of galleries. Castle Douglas is good for food shops. Threave Garden is worth a visit. For castles, Caerlaverock is about half an hour's drive.
For facilities: you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. The garden is enclosed. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can bring up to two dogs.
