Woodrow Beeswing

Woodrow is a lodge in Beeswing, right on the edge of Mabie Forest. It's detached, so you're on your own. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.

The place is open plan. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. There's a patio with a hot tub.

You can see the Mabie Forest mountain bike trails from the garden. The 7Stanes routes are right there. For a gentler cycle or a walk, the forest itself is on your doorstep. The Loch Arthur Farm Shop is a mile up the road for a coffee or lunch.

Dumfries is about a fifteen minute drive for shops and supermarkets. Castle Douglas is maybe twenty minutes, they've got good food shops. The coast at Southerness is about half an hour away.

If you want a big day out, the Galloway Forest Park is the place. It's the UK's largest forest park, good for walking and wildlife. On a clear night, it's a Dark Sky Park, so the stargazing is excellent.

It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance. No pets, sorry.
