This is Woodview. It's a lodge just on the edge of Mabie Forest, near Beeswing. Detached, so it's just you out there.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, decent sized. One bathroom with a shower. Everything is on one floor, so no stairs to worry about. It's modern inside, open plan. It's clean and comfortable. It's got a 4 Star rating.
Outside, you've got a bit of a garden area and the hot tub. We keep it serviced. It looks into the trees, so it's private.
You're right next to Mabie Forest. You can walk straight into it. It's part of the 7Stanes for mountain biking. The trails are right there, from easy to serious.
The Loch Arthur Farm Shop is about a mile up the road in Beeswing. They do good food and cheese. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about five miles away.
Dumfries is not far, maybe a twenty minute drive. That's where the bigger supermarkets are, and places to eat. Castle Douglas is about the same. They call it a Food Town, lots of good little shops.
The Galloway Forest Park is up past Newton Stewart. It's a big area for walking. You can drive to the coast, but it's about eleven miles to the nearest proper beach.
What's here: WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
If you want to book a few lodges together, Woodedge, Woodburn and Woodside are nearby. The four together sleep sixteen.
