Woodedge
Woodedge is in Beeswing, just outside Dumfries. It's a detached lodge on the edge of Mabie Forest.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's all on one level, so no stairs. The layout is open plan.
The place is peaceful. There's a garden and a patio. It has a hot tub. We've put in a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking right there.
You're right next to Mabie Forest. If you're into mountain biking, the 7Stanes routes are there. You can see some of them from the lodge. For a gentler time, the Loch Arthur Farm Shop is about a mile away. They do food and sell their own cheese.
Dumfries is about ten minutes by car for shops and restaurants. Castle Douglas is a bit further. It's known for good food shops.
The coast is about eleven miles. The Galloway Forest Park is within half an hour. It's good for walking and has dark skies for stargazing.
It doesn't take pets. Bedding and towels are included.
