Terraughtie Cottage East

Terraughtie Cottage East is on the road out to Cargenbridge, about a mile and a half from the centre of Dumfries. It's semi-detached. We've had it since 2020 so it's been done up then. Everything works.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one of them is a walk-in shower. The main bathroom has a bath. There's parking on the drive.

The garden is a good size, it's all yours. There's a patio with a BBQ. It's not overlooked.

Inside, it's a 4 Star. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a wood burner in the living room. We leave some logs to get you started. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi and a TV.

We accept up to two pets. There's a highchair if you need one.

The local shop is Kilnford Farm, about a quarter of a mile up the road. They do good food and have a little nature trail. The nearest pub is about two and a half miles away.

From the cottage you can walk or cycle into Dumfries. There are signed paths. For fishing, Auldernauk Fishery is a short drive or a decent walk.

The big draw here is the outdoors. You're about half an hour from the coast at Sandyhills. The Galloway Forest Park is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes. That's a Dark Sky Park, so the stargazing is very good if it's clear. The 7stanes mountain biking trails are within a 30 minute drive.
