Lime Tree Cottage
Lime Tree Cottage is along Mansegate, near Templand. It's a detached house sat on its own.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom on the ground floor. It got a 4 Star rating after a refurbishment a few years ago. It's comfortable.
The main thing is the back room. It's open-plan, kitchen and sitting area, with patio doors straight out to the garden. It's private and gets the sun in the afternoon. On a good day you can have the doors open. There's a second, smaller living room at the front with a wood burner.
The garden is enclosed. It's not huge, but it's secure. We take two dogs.
You're on quiet lanes here, good for walks straight from the door. Dumfries is about ten minutes' drive for supermarkets and things.
For a day out, Drumlanrig Castle is about twenty minutes away. You can walk the estate grounds. Further on, the Galloway Forest Park is maybe half an hour. The roads are good.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if you need them. All bedding and towels are included.
