The property is called Park Lane. It's in Auldgirth, which is a small village about ten miles north of Dumfries. It's a detached bungalow so everything is on one level.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is an en-suite attached to the main bedroom. The rating is 4 Star.
The kitchen is quite big and has a dining table. There are patio doors that go straight out into the back garden. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have a dog. You can bring one pet.
In the village, there's a pub that does food. It's a few minutes' walk away. Dumfries is the nearest proper town for supermarkets and things. Robert Burns lived there at the end of his life, so there are a few related museums if you're interested.
A good day out is Drumlanrig Castle. It's about a 15-minute drive. You can walk around the grounds, go mountain biking on the trails, or have a look inside the castle. There's salmon fishing there too.
The Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour away. It's a dark sky park, so if you get a clear night the stars are very good. Caerlaverock Wetland Centre is in a similar direction, good for birdwatching.
The Solway Coast is within 30 minutes if you want beaches. There are a few golf courses around as well.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are provided. There's parking on the drive. The shower is over the bath in the family bathroom.
