River View
River View is a maisonette in Dock Park in Dumfries. It's two floors, and you look straight out over the River Nith. There's no private patio, but frankly you don't need one because the whole park is right there.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable. The stairs are normal.
Location wise, you're right in it. There's a shop about 300 yards away, and a pub and a restaurant are even closer. The town centre is a short walk. You can leave the car.
The park itself has a kids' play area, mini golf, and a cafe that's open in the warmer months. You can walk along the riverbank from the door. Robert Burns' House is in town if you're interested.
If you drive, you've got options. The Solway Coast is about 15 miles for beaches and cliffs. Caerlaverock Wetland Centre is a big reserve, good for a walk. For cyclists, the 7stanes trails at Mabie and Dalbeattie are within half an hour. Galloway Forest Park, which is a Dark Sky Park, is also about a 30 minute drive.
The house has the practical stuff: WiFi, TV, washing machine, cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
