Gullsway is our house in Glencaple. It's a big, detached place on the edge of the village. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the Nith estuary to Criffel hill. It's a good spot.
It sleeps nine people in five bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is a wet room on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not luxurious.
The kitchen is big and leads into the dining area, so everyone can be together. The living room has windows on two sides. There's a sun room with a lot of glass, which is where you'll probably end up sitting to look at the view.
The garden is private and it's yours to use. Parking is on site.
You're about 500 yards from the local pub, which does food. The shop is the same distance.
If you like walking, you can start right from the door along the river. Caerlaverock Castle is about three miles away. It's impressive. The nature reserve there is good for birdwatching. There's a golf course at Southerness, a short drive away. The beach at Sandyhills is about a twenty minute drive.
Dumfries is close by for bigger shops. You can drive part of the South West Coastal 300 route from here. If you want to go further, Galloway Forest Park is under an hour's drive.
In terms of what's here, we've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. The woodburning stove works. We include bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
