Inverallan
This is Inverallan. It's near Amisfield, just outside Dumfries. You're in the countryside here, but the town is only four miles away for shops and things.
It's a detached cottage, rebuilt and extended a couple of years ago. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms and a bedroom are on the ground floor, which is helpful. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's been finished to a really high standard, everything is new and it's very comfortable.
The main living space is all open plan, with big windows looking out over the fields. It's a good spot to sit and watch the weather coming in. The garden is private. There's a hot tub out there looking over the view. At night, because there's not much light around, you can see a lot of stars.
It's a quiet, rural place. For local walks, you can just head out from the door. For more serious walking or mountain biking, there are some good hills not far away. The South West Coastal 300 driving route passes nearby if you fancy a scenic drive. Dumfries has the usual town facilities and the Robert Burns connection if that's of interest.
Within about half an hour you can get to some notable gardens, like Threave Garden or the botanic gardens at Logan. The coast is about a forty-minute drive.
In terms of what's here: there's parking, the washer and dishwasher, a cot and highchair, WiFi, and an electric vehicle charger. The whole place is on one level from the entrance, so it's accessible. No pets, I'm afraid.
