Laird House is on our farm near Lochmaben. It's what used to be the dairy, so it's all on one level. The views are good. You look out over the fields towards Annandale.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles I think, and two bathrooms. One has a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable.
It's a working farm. We've got beef cattle. You're welcome to come and see the animals if you like. The kids usually enjoy that. There are ducks too, sometimes.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a wood burner, which is handy when it gets chilly. The conservatory has a table football table in it. It's a bit of a sun trap.
You're about ten minutes from Lockerbie by car. Dumfries is maybe twenty minutes. The coast is about half an hour's drive. There are some nice little places like Rockcliffe and Kippford for a walk. The beach at Sandyhills is good.
If you like walking, the Southern Upland Way passes nearby. There's a golf course not far from here either. For a day out, you can get the train from Lockerbie. It goes up to Glasgow or down to Carlisle.
Facilities wise: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. There's parking right outside. The garden is enclosed. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry, because of the farm.
