Halleaths Home Farm is in Halleaths, which is Dumfriesshire. It's a detached, stone farmhouse. It's old, grade II listed. Peaceful, looks over fields.
It sleeps seven. There are five bedrooms, but there's only one bathroom. Something to know if you're a big group. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable but not luxurious.
You can bring one dog. There's a garden and patio, and parking for a couple of cars.
The house has a woodburning stove, which is good. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and bike storage if you need them.
There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant about a mile away. The Castle Loch walk starts right outside, just turn right from the courtyard. It's good for walks with dogs and kids.
For beaches, you're looking at about a 15 mile drive. The area's got a lot, really. Forests, coastal villages, historic castles. You can visit Robert Burns' house in Dumfries. There are mountain bike trails and nature reserves for birdwatching.
