Kinnelhook Holiday Cottage

Kinnelhook is in Templand, which is out in the country near Lochmaben. It's a detached house, so you're on your own. The main thing is the garden. It's about two acres, and you can get down to the river, the Kinnel Water. There's fishing if you want it.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not posh. Everything works.

The games room is a big deal. It's got a full size snooker table, pool, table tennis, darts, and table football. It's separate from the house, so the noise stays there. It's handy if the weather turns.

You'll need a car. The nearest shop and pub are in Lochmaben, about a ten minute drive. Lochmaben itself has a couple of lochs for sailing and fishing.

From here, you're well placed for Dumfries. That's about 15 minutes by car. They've got all the shops. The coast at Annan or Solway is about half an hour. The forest trails around Ae and Mabie are good for mountain biking or walking. You're right on the Annandale Way if you like proper hiking.

Because it's so rural, the skies are dark at night. You can see the stars clearly. Sometimes you might even see the Northern Lights.

What's here: the games room, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, cot and highchair if you need them. All the bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
