The Moorings Lochmaben

The Moorings is in Lochmaben, right on the main street. It's a sizeable town house, so it's good for a larger group or a couple of families sharing.

It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. One shower room is downstairs. The rooms are big, which helps when you've got a few people. It's got a 4 Star rating.

There's a garden round the back. It's enclosed, so it's private and safe for dogs or kids. You can sit out there if you get a good afternoon.

Being on the main street means you're close to things. There's a couple of shops, a baker, and a few pubs within a short walk. For a bigger supermarket, you'd drive to Lockerbie, which is about four miles away.

The best thing about the location is the lochs. There are three of them right on the town's doorstep: Kirk Loch, Castle Loch, and Mill Loch. You can walk around them straight from the house. You can fish on them, and there's sailing on Castle Loch too.

You're well placed for getting about. It's about ten minutes to the M74. From there, you can head south into the Lake District, north towards Glasgow or Edinburgh, or west into Galloway. Dumfries is about twenty minutes by car. The coast, like Sandyhills, is roughly half an hour.

The house has the things you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance, and there's parking on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
