Blaeberry Cottage
Blaeberry Cottage is on our farm near Johnstonebridge. It's detached, which means you're on your own. You're down a farm track so it's quiet. The garden's enclosed.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. It's not huge, but it's enough for a family. There's a woodburning stove, which is good for chilly evenings. The WiFi works fine.
You're on a working farm. So you'll see sheep, and us going about. There's a field out the back you can walk in. The River Annan is about two miles away if you want to fish.
The nearest shop and pub is about a mile and a half in the village. It does food. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Lockerbie, which is about seven miles.
You're in a good spot for getting out. The coast at the Solway Firth is about half an hour's drive. There are some good beaches there, like Rockcliffe. Dumfries is about twenty minutes south. Edinburgh, Carlisle and Glasgow are all around an hour's drive if you want a day in a city.
For walking and cycling, you're right on the edge of the Southern Uplands. There are routes from the door. The 7Stanes mountain biking at Ae Forest is about twenty minutes away.
Things here: Washing machine, TV, BBQ, bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside.
