Riverside Cottage
Riverside Cottage is a detached house near Lockerbie, on the edge of the village of Boreland. It's a quiet spot. The back garden is basically the bank of the River Dryfe. It's peaceful.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it's well kept and comfortable. It was done up not too long ago. The main room is open plan with big windows, so it’s light. You get the view of the river.
You can walk from the door along the riverbank. The Annandale Way passes nearby if you want a longer route. For mountain biking, some of the 7Stanes centres are within about half an hour. The one at Mabie Forest is probably closest.
Lockerbie is ten minutes by car for shops and things. Moffat is about twenty minutes. There’s a train station at Lockerbie if you wanted a day trip to Glasgow or Edinburgh without driving.
Facilities: there’s parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a woodburning stove. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
The owners run a catering business and you can order meals or afternoon tea in advance. You’d need to sort that out a couple of weeks before you arrive.
